Do you represent one of the major interests of Lee Township: Agriculture, education, commerce, or transportation? If so, you might be the right person for the job. The Planning Commission is comprised of volunteers who live in Lee Township that care about their community and would like to use Planning and Zoning to help shape its future.
The position does not require any special skills or knowledge beforehand. You can gain this knowledge by taking a few states offered training and reading our local bylaws, master plan, and ordinances. You would be committing to at least two hours per month to attend the monthly meeting, and additional hours, when needed, for items like the site plan reviews, master plans updates, and ordinance creation or amendments.
